Akogun Lere Oyewumi Mourns the demise of Hon. Gbadebo Oyejide, Describes His Death as a Great Loss to Ikire and Osun state



The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Akogun Olalere Oyewumi PhD, has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Hon. Gbadebo Oyejide, former Chairman of Irewole Local Government and former member of the Osun State House of Assembly.


Hon. Oyejide, a prominent political figure and respected community leader, died yesterday in Ibadan, leaving behind a legacy of service to the people of Ikire and Osun State at large.


In a condolence message issued today, Senator Oyewumi described Oyejide's death as a great loss to the Ikire community and the entire Osun West Senatorial District. He commended the late politician for his contributions to grassroots development and for his unwavering commitment to public service during his lifetime.


“This is a painful loss,” Oyewumi said. “Hon. Gbadebo Oyejide was a dedicated leader whose service to our people will not be forgotten. His passing has created a vacuum in our political and community space. I pray that God forgives his shortcomings and grants him eternal rest.”


He extended heartfelt condolences to the immediate family of the deceased, the people of Ikire, urging them to take solace in the impactful life Hon. Oyejide lived.
