‎The Deputy Minority Leader of the Senate, Senator Lere Oyewumi, has extended warm felicitations to Christians across Osun West Senatorial District, Osun State, Nigeria, and the global Christian community on the occasion of Palm Sunday.

‎Senator Oyewumi urged the faithful to reflect deeply on the virtues of humility, love, sacrifice, and service, as exemplified by the triumphant entry of Jesus Christ into Jerusalem a significant event that marks the beginning of the Holy Week.

‎Palm Sunday, he noted, is a moment of both celebration and solemn reflection, reminding believers of the enduring values of peace, compassion, and unwavering faith. He encouraged Christians to emulate these virtues in their daily lives, especially in fostering unity, tolerance, and harmony within their communities.

‎The lawmaker emphasized that this sacred period presents an opportunity for Nigerians to come together in prayer for the peace, stability, and progress of the nation. He called on constituents to remain steadfast, resilient, and hopeful despite present challenges, while continuing to support one another in the spirit of love and togetherness.

‎Senator Oyewumi further appealed to the people of Osun State to continue to pray for and support the administration of Governor Ademola Adeleke, as he works diligently to deliver good governance and sustainable development across the state.

‎According to him, collective support, unity, and prayers are essential in achieving lasting growth, peace, and prosperity for Osun State and Nigeria at large. He concluded by wishing all Christians a peaceful and fulfilling Palm Sunday celebration, praying that the lessons of the season bring renewed hope, joy, and blessings to every home.

‎“May this Holy Week strengthen our faith, deepen our love for one another, and guide us toward a more united and prosperous society.”
